Prague, the city that never sleeps, only that is a joke, and we actually slept a lot in this city. When we arrived in Prague, we had been on the road for exactly a month. Our traveling batteries were running low, Jessie was quite sick with a cough and head cold, and both of us were in obvious need of a recharge. During our four nights here we managed to live like we were at home, getting up usually at the crack of noon, while still living the dream at night, always staying out past our bedtimes. On a side note of living the dream, boy did we ever live the dream one night, but more of that will come later, to give you a hint of how we did, think The Hurt Locker... Prague proved to be quite the place, socially and scenically. We both equated it to Disneyland, a magical place, with lovely little details everywhere.

| Lovely Old Town Square with the Tyn Church in the background. Our hostel was right next to the church |
After hibernating each day until noonish, we seemed to stumble upon many great sights.
| Feeling inspired by the Estates Theatre, Mozarts former stomping grounds |
| Our friend from Prague Sharka told Nathan that if he touched this picture on the Charles Bridge and made a wish it would come true. He's thinkin up a good one |
| Behind you is Good King Wenceslas (a statue of course), a Christmas carol legend. Upon learning this Jessie got so excited that she tried to gallop along like ol merry Wenceslas himself |
| This long escalator to the subway was a sight in itself |
| A huge McDonalds right outside the Museum of Communism, Lenin and Marx are turning over in their graves |
All these exciting sights sure made us build up an appetite, and what not a better way to cure our hunger than by noshing on some Czech and Mexican food (we just missed home too much to pass on the Mexican place).
| The pubs specialty, roast pig knee, yum |
| Nathan is not being thankful for the Mexican restaurant we stumbled upon, it was a great find however, but for the fact that this was the first place we found in Prague that was non smoking |
| And as mentioned earlier, it was great Mexican food |
| Instead of drive throughs in Prague they have walk throughs, Mc Walk throughs |
After filling our little bellies with all this great food, from pig knees to nachos, but not the McDonalds, that was out of sheer desperation only, we had to live the dream, and boy oh boy did Prague have places to live the dream at. Our most memorable place was a five story dance club, with music, smoke machines, and lasers...on the dance floor.

| White haze |

| Bustin all their moves |
| Nathan demonstrating his next move, through the laser beams |
Despite the many differences between Prague and Seattle, we still had reminders of home
| Pike Place Roast anyone? Anyone know where that is? We sure do! |
Prague was great. Really took us by surprise and showed us a good time. Not only did Prague show us a good time, but the people we met there did as well. Jessie made friends with someone who happened to live in Prague while we waited at the Venice train station. After a couple hours of conversation in Venice, e-mails got exchanged, and plans made to meet up in Prague upon our arrival a week later. In Prague, our new found friends (one from San Diego teaching English in Prague, the other a local, originally from Prague) hung out with us Sunday night, and invited us over for dinner to their place Monday night. It was really really nice geting to go into an actual home, and sit at a table, and then watch a movie from a couch. We really enjoyed our time with them. Especially on our first night out with them, on Sunday.
And now for the part you all have been scrolling down really fast for, and ignoring the rest of our blog for, to get to that part with the hint we gave you earlier, The Hurt Locker. Sunday night...we were in a bar with our new friends just hangin out, shooting the breeze, when Nathan comes back from the restroom and says to everyone "Whats the name of the main actor from The Hurt Locker, you know the movie that just won like five oscars, cause he is totally sitting over there in the corner?" Upon hearing this everyone else went over to investigate, and confirmed this question to be true. Jeremy Renner was in fact in the same bar as we were just hangin out, and after asking him for a picture (which we have, but out of respect to him we are not going to publish it online), we got invited to join him and his friend at his table. Time, drinks, dancing, and conversation passed by, and before you knew it we had all hung out with him and his stuntman friend for a good few hours. It was quite the epic night, as was Prague overall.
We're in Rome now, Ciao
Jessie and Nathan
